Book Description
One of the most perennially sought-after subjects for gift and gardening audiences is a collection of extraordinary photographs of flowers. Paul Solberg, here in conjunction with renowned photographer Christopher Makos, has created one of the most gorgeous works of flower photographs ever published. Bloom, Solberg's first foray into art photography after successful stints in advertising and independent filmmaking, constitutes one of the most compelling assemblages of flower imagery available and is sure to attract photography aficionados, florists, fashion lovers, and gift-givers alike.
With a preface by New York style maestro Ralph Pucci, Bloom will open your eyes to a new horizon of flower photography and a previously unknown talent. Working in a still-life, studio format, Solberg's flowers are so crisp, so beautiful, so colorful that they mesmerize and entrance anyone looking for a new view on a popular subject. Working with Christopher Makos as an editor and secondary eye, Solberg gives a presentation that breaks from the catalog format of most books on floral subjects available today. With sumptuous portraits of flowers from English roses to rare Cattleya orchids, Solberg's photographs combine the fleeting beauty and ongoing nature of the living bloom in moments of tranquility that bring the flowers to life. Beautifully manufactured on the finest paper and with precise attention paid to the smallest details of each bloom, Solberg has captured the moment when each flower is in its fullest and most beautiful moment.
