Denver Comes of Age: The Postwar Photography of Morey Engle

Midwest Book Review
Every great city has its defining generation. For Denver, the quarter-century from 1941 to 1965 (the years from Pearl Harbor to the great Denver flood). Morey Engle was a long-time photographer with the Rocky Mountain News, and many of his photos are from the headlines of the day. Engle's anecdotes (why he wasn't one of Ike's favorite photographers, for example) enliven the captions and round out Denver Comes of Age, a nostalgic look at a slice of Denver's history with 300 b/w memorable photos.
