About the Author Silvia Dogliani was born near Venice, Italy, and earned degrees in photography from Istituto Europeo Design of Milan and in political science from the University of Milan. Her photography and journalism work has taken her all over the world, and her photographs have appeared in numerous magazines in several countries, including Egypt.
