About the Author Thomas R. McBurney is former Executive Vice President and Chairman of the U.S. Foods Division of the Pillsbury Company. He is currently a management consultant and a member of a number of corporate boards, plus several major art organizations. He has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Dartmouth and has expanded his studies at Stanford and the Aspen Institute. In addition, he has received an intensive arts education including classes at the British Institute in Florence. He is married and has four daughters. He lives in Edina, Minnesota.
