Other awards include: Best Portrait from the Pastel Society of America, the Hudson Valley Art Associations Portrait Award, and numerous prizes at the Springfield Art League, and other art shows. About the Author Janet Monafo was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and has had a number of solo exhibitions at such galleries as the Allan Stone Gallery and the Sherry French Gallery in New York. Monafo received a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1982. Her work is held in many public and private collections. Best of Pastel
