Editorial Reviews Book Description "One morning, the elegant and very accessorized Ms. Lulu Ziminski, fashion maven extraordinaire, world-famous for her flair, entered the Sweetie Pie Pet Shop.…" And so begins the whimsical story of Henley, an adorable black-and-white Japanese chin, the most fashionable pup to ever have lived in New York. While accompanying his equally dazzling and wildly sophisticated owner, Ms. Lulu, on all sorts of cosmopolitan adventures in the most glamorous city on earth, Henley finds himself the center of attention no matter where he is. One day, while shopping with Lulu at Bergdorf Goodman, he is asked to model for the cover of the store's catalog. At once catapulted into the puparazzi's limelight, Henley can only think up, up, up! As he eagerly begins his foray into the luxurious behind-the-scenes life of the rich and famous, his one true friend, Ms. Lulu, is left behind. What begins as a fabulous whirlwind tour of all that glitters and glows quickly turns into a dreary odyssey, and Henley soon realizes that it can be very lonely at the top. Finding that life just isn't the same without Ms. Lulu, Henley says good-bye to the red carpet and returns home to his friend-for if there is one truth Henley gleans from his adventures it is the wisdom of an old adage: "Money may buy a good dog, but it won't buy the wag of his tail."

Penned by Julie Muszynski, and inspired by Henley, her real-life pet chin, this charming story is the adult equivalent of Eloise. A celebration of the heart, friendship, and loyalty, Henley is perfect for anyone who loves pets, fashion, or simply the companionship of a true friend, no matter the pedigree. Featuring a mix of vintage and contemporary photography and illustrations and with a wealth of special features-gatefolds, lift-the-flaps, and a minibook-Henley is written with a witty sense of humor and dynamically filled with original, hand-drawn illustrations.

Henley is the perfect gift book-stylish in conception and unparalleled in the quality of its high-end production.

Cleverly combining fine art, history, and travel, this extraordinary little dog is irresistible to adults and children alike, art, fashion, and foreign audiences and, of course, those countless dog lovers.
