The Artist Project Portraits of the Real Art World C: New York Artists 1981-1990
Editorial Reviews Book Description A candid, moving record of a dynamic art community during a turbulent, productive era. In a compelling collection that is both personal and astoundingly democratic, Peter Bellamy presents his portraits of the young art stars of the eighties, such as Cindy Sherman, Robert Longo, and Jenny Holzer, along with the already famous Andy Warhol and John Cage and many lesser-known artists. These stunningly beautiful and perceptive images reveal both the character of the individual artists and the nature of their society.
